A few moments ago, Samsung released a software update for the Galaxy S25 series that brings the June 2026 security patch. We noted that the update was unusually large for a security patch release, and now we know why.
The update also introduces two new Galaxy AI features: Prioritise Notifications and File Summaries. The brand debuted both features with the Galaxy S26 series, which was the first to offer the stable version of One UI 8.5.
Many expected these additions to arrive on the Galaxy S25 lineup with its stable One UI 8.5 update, but that didn't happen, leaving some users disappointed. At the time, it was believed that the company could deliver them through a separate software update later on. As it turns out, that's exactly what the tech giant has done (via Tarun Vats & Samsung Community).
Prioritise Notifications analyzes notifications and places the most important one at the top of the notifications list, making them easier to notice and ensuring you don't miss critical alerts. File Summaries, on the other hand, can generate short summaries of PDF and TXT files, helping you quickly understand their contents and manage your files more efficiently.
